Basically, it’s where you advertise your product or business on Google and pay money for each visitor that clicks on your ad and visits your site.
The first step to using Google Pay per Click is to sign-up for an account with Google. Then, you need to write a short ad and choose keywords related to your product or business. When someone does a search using the keywords you have chosen your ad will appear on Google. They’ll see your ad and click on it, taking them to a web page where you want them to go. This will usually be the page that sells a particular product. In exchange for getting people to your site you’ll pay Google every single time someone clicks on your ad. This can make you a lot of money or it can cost you a lot of money.
Obviously to make any money with this form of advertising you’ll have to make more money selling the product you are advertising then you spend listing the ad with Google. Though this seems very easy to do, it really Is not. If you do not know what you are doing then you’ll lose a lot of money. That’s just about guaranteed.[ad#inline-ad]
Let’s look at an example:
Say you list an ad with Google that costs you 50 cents every time someone clicks on your ad. Let’s say that when someone clicks your ad they’re taken to a product that costs $20. So, 1 out of every 40 people who click on your ad will have to buy your product in order for you to make money. Certainly you can do better than this but you’d have to have good sales copy and an ad that only brings in serious customers. It takes a great deal of knowledge to have these two things. If you don’t you could very well get hundreds of people clicking on your Pay per Click ad without getting any sales. This could cost you hundreds of dollars.
There are plenty of people who make a lot of money using Google Pay per Click advertising. You can make a lot of money too. However, you’ve to know how it works. If you know how it works then you’ll be very successful. If you do not then you’ll lose a lot of money.
